Japan Health and Nutrition Food Association (Abbreviation: JHNFA) (Allowed to display the association logo in June 1992)
JHNFA creates quality standards for various health foods under the guidance of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Products must pass rigorous screening by experts in the fields of nutrition and food sanitation in order to be certified. There are separate standards for different items for quality, manufacturing and processing, and labeling and advertisement.
